The Charity Guild of Catholic Women of Harris County is a member-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Houston that raises funds through its Charity Guild Shop and volunteer activities to support children’s charities across the greater Houston area. Founded in 1922, the Guild combines a century-long volunteer tradition with annual competitive grantmaking to support education, health, hunger relief, social services and enrichment programs that serve children from conception through age 18. The organization awards grants to local child-serving agencies, operates a consignment/thrift storefront to generate revenue for grants, and maintains an active membership and volunteer program focused on direct philanthropic impact for Houston-area youth.

Founded in 1922, the Guild marked its 100-year anniversary and continues an active membership of several hundred volunteers supporting children in Houston.

Since 1996 the Charity Guild has distributed more than $10 million to over 200 children’s charities in the greater Houston area.
