About CHILDRENS ASSESSMENT CENTER FOUNDATION
The Children’s Assessment Center Foundation supports The Children’s Assessment Center (The CAC), the children’s advocacy center for Houston and Harris County. The CAC provides a child-centered, multidisciplinary one-stop model—forensic interviews, medical exams, mental health therapy, family advocacy, and court services—delivered free of charge to children and non-offending caregivers. The organization operates in partnership with Harris County and more than 50 partner agencies to coordinate investigations, treatment, and prevention. In recent years the CAC has continued outreach and prevention work (including human trafficking awareness efforts), received public grants to expand capacity, and published annual reporting documenting thousands of children and families served each year.
