About Sisters Network, Inc.
Sisters Network, Inc. is a national African American breast cancer survivorship organization headquartered in Houston, Texas, founded in 1994 by Karen Eubanks Jackson. The organization operates through a network of survivor-run affiliate chapters and delivers culturally targeted education, peer support, financial assistance, and public awareness initiatives. Sisters Network runs recurring national programs including the Stop the Silence® National African American Breast Cancer 5K Walk/Run, the Karen E. Jackson Breast Cancer Assistance Program (BCAP), a National Black Breast Cancer Summit, webinars and a survivorship podcast. In recent years the organization has modernized its national programs, launched chapter grantmaking and an advocacy-focused Center for Public Policy to address state-level disparities in breast cancer care.

Founding & National Reach
Founded in 1994 by Karen Eubanks Jackson, Sisters Network has grown into a survivor-run national network with dozens of affiliate chapters and thousands of members providing peer support, education and local outreach in multiple states.
Karen E. Jackson Breast Cancer Assistance Program (BCAP)
Established in 2006 and renamed in 2022 in honor of the founder, BCAP provides short-term financial help (housing and utilities) to survivors in active treatment and funds 3D mammograms for uninsured women; over roughly two decades the program has distributed close to $2 million in assistance and supported thousands of survivors and screenings.
Stop the Silence Walk & National Summit
The Stop the Silence® National African American Breast Cancer 5K Walk/Run and the National Black Breast Cancer Summit are recurring signature events that raise funds and visibility; the national walk attracts thousands of participants annually and serves as a major fundraising platform for BCAP and chapter programs.
