About THE FORGE FOR FAMILIES INC

THE FORGE for Families is a Christ-centered urban community organization based in Houston’s Third Ward that provides after-school enrichment, athletics, summer programs, parent education, and family-focused supports. The organization’s stated approach is to foster educational, economic and spiritual growth for families through relationship-based programming and community partnerships. In the last several years THE FORGE has maintained audited financial reports and current Form 990 filings and continued direct service operations, expanding program enrollment in its after-school and summer programs. Programs explicitly focus on children, youth and their families in under-resourced neighborhoods of Houston, with an emphasis on academic support, mentorship and healthy recreation.
