About SCENIC GALVESTON INCORPORATED

SCENIC GALVESTON, Inc. is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1992 that works to preserve and restore scenic coastal wetlands and native prairie habitat in the Galveston Bay region. The organization operates as a local land-trust and stewardship group focused on maintaining public-facing scenic preserves and conservation easements along the I‑45 corridor and Virginia Point. The organization now protects and stewards more than 6,000 acres of marsh, prairie and conservation easement lands including high-visibility preserves that serve as the scenic gateway to Galveston. In recent years Scenic Galveston has remained active in regional conservation partnerships and public programs—participating in local birding and nature festivals, volunteer shoreline plantings and cleanups, and collaborative living-shoreline and restoration efforts with regional partners.
