Houston Community Health Centers Inc, doing business as Vecino Health Centers, is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides bilingual primary medical, dental, and behavioral health services to families in northeast Houston. Vecino operates two main health centers (Denver Harbor Family Health Center and Airline Children & Women’s Health Center) and provides outreach through school-based and community programs. The organization serves more than 12,000 patients of all ages—emphasizing pediatric, women’s, prenatal/postnatal, and family health—and accepts Medicaid, CHIP, Medicare, and most private insurance while offering sliding-scale care for uninsured patients. Vecino is an HRSA Health Center Program grantee and partners with local health systems and universities to support clinical training, telehealth, and community health worker initiatives.
