About PROVIDENCE CLASSICAL SCHOOL

Providence Classical School (PCS) is an independent, co-educational PreK–12 Christian school in Spring, Texas, founded in 1999. PCS follows a classical curriculum rooted in the Trivium (grammar, logic, rhetoric) and emphasizes a Christ-centered education, character formation, and college preparation.

The school serves several hundred students with a roughly 10:1 student–faculty ratio and offers a program that includes Latin and modern languages, accelerated math and science, arts, athletics, and a rhetoric capstone (senior thesis) to prepare graduates for college and leadership in their communities.

College placements & test performance

Providence reports consistent college matriculations to selective universities and competitive standardized-test performance (historical SAT/ACT averages indicate strong college-readiness). The school lists matriculations to institutions including Rice, Stanford, Georgia Tech, Purdue, Baylor, Texas A&M, and military academies.

National Merit recognition

PCS students have received multiple National Merit recognitions over time, including finalists and numerous commended students, reflecting sustained academic achievement in the upper school.

Enrollment growth and campus improvements (2023)

In recent years PCS reported enrollment growth entering the 2023–24 year and completed a campus building project that added a stage, expanded library, locker rooms and weight room, additional classroom space, and an upgraded sound system to support academics and activities.
