About Denver Asset Building Coalition
DABC is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 77-0646873) founded in 2004 and tax-exempt since 2005, focused on reducing barriers to financial stability through free, high-quality tax and asset-building services across the Denver metro area.
The organization operates year-round (with expanded VITA sites during tax season), partnering with community organizations to serve thousands of low-income and underserved clients and to return millions of dollars in tax refunds to local households.
In recent years DABC has continued to expand year-round legal and financial supports: in 2023 it prepared several thousand returns, handled dozens of tax-legal cases, and provided numerous consultations and educational services to help clients claim credits such as the Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit.
