About FRESH MEAT PRODUCTIONS

Fresh Meat Productions is a San Francisco–based arts nonprofit that centers transgender, gender‑nonconforming, and queer artists through year‑round programming. Its core activities include the annual FRESH MEAT FESTIVAL (multidisciplinary live performance), the resident company Sean Dorsey Dance, artist commissions (FRESH WORKS! and TRANSfutures), and national education and advocacy programs. The organization operates as an active, donor‑facing 501(c)(3) arts presenter and producer, presenting accessible performances (ASL provided at festival shows), commissioning world premieres, touring Sean Dorsey Dance nationally, and partnering with community organizations to build audiences and leadership within trans and queer communities. In the last 2–3 years Fresh Meat Productions has expanded program capacity and received major institutional support to scale its operations and impact.
