Zuma's Rescue Ranch

Zuma’s Rescue Ranch is a Colorado 501(c)(3) nonprofit horse rescue and equine‑assisted therapy center founded in 2008. The ranch rescues, rehabilitates, and either rehomes or provides lifelong sanctuary for horses and other farm animals while integrating those animals into therapeutic, educational, and riding programs.

Programs at the ranch include animal rescue and rehabilitation, equine‑assisted mental‑health services delivered by licensed clinicians (available via Medicaid, self‑pay, and sliding scale), horsemanship and riding instruction, volunteer opportunities, and community events. The organization also operates a multi‑acre facility that hosts volunteer orientations, tours, and public programming.

Over time Zuma’s reports having rescued and networked more than one thousand animals and, in recent years, has consistently served dozens of human clients weekly through its therapy and learning programs while maintaining a herd of approximately several dozen resident animals.
