About Bay Area Older Adults, Inc.
Bay Area Older Adults (BAO) is a San Jose–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that organizes outdoor, cultural and social programs for adults age 50+ and provides a centralized resource guide so older adults can plan their own activities. The organization runs BAO Events (staff-organized day trips, hikes and cultural outings) and a “Plan Your Own” guide that aggregates regional activities, with membership options that offer event discounts and program perks.
Founded in 2008 and operating as a California public benefit corporation, BAO focuses on healthy-living, social connection and community-building for older adults of all abilities.
