About Golden Schools Foundation
Golden Schools Foundation (GSF) is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed by parents and citizens of Golden, Colorado to support neighborhood schools across the Golden articulation (elementary, middle, and high school levels).
GSF raises and distributes funds for programs that directly support students and teachers — including enrichment grants, teacher recognition, academic summer programs, college scholarships, and credit-recovery assistance — and runs the annual Golden Gallop as its primary community fundraiser.

Golden Gallop fundraising
The Golden Gallop is GSF’s largest annual fundraiser and historically provides the foundation’s primary revenue stream, supporting tens of thousands of dollars annually for local schools.
College scholarship program
Since launching its scholarship program in 2017, GSF has awarded multiple one-time college scholarships to Golden High School graduates; the foundation announced scholarship recipients as recently as 2025.
Sustained community foundation
Volunteer-run organization established by local parents and citizens (operating since about 2010 with IRS recognition in the early 2010s) that continues to mobilize local resources for Golden schools.
