About Center for Children's Rights
The Center for Children's Rights (CCR) is a Jacksonville-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 81-0899480) that uses restorative practices, youth leadership, and individualized navigation to prevent youth system escalation and support re-entry from juvenile justice settings. CCR works directly in schools, community sites, and with partner systems (education, health, juvenile justice) to replace punitive responses with relationship-centered accountability.
Since its founding and IRS recognition in 2016, CCR has expanded partner-funded programming across Duval County, delivering restorative circles in school and community settings, individualized resilience navigation for youth returning from detention, and youth participatory leadership and systems-change work. In the last 2–3 years the organization has reported increased youth-reported belonging and reduced school-based conflict among participants and has secured local grants and government partnership funding to scale diversion and re-entry services.
