About CENTER FOR DISEASE ANALYSIS FOUNDATION INC

The Center for Disease Analysis Foundation (CDA Foundation or CDAF) is a Lafayette, Colorado–based public health nonprofit that combines epidemiology, modeling, and program implementation to support disease elimination, with a primary focus on hepatitis B and C. Its Polaris Observatory provides national, regional, and global disease-burden estimates, modeling tools, training, and decision analytics to guide policymakers and health systems. CDAF funds and implements targeted grants and implementation programs (including Relink, ALLIES, and CAMEO) that find diagnosed-but-untreated patients, link people to care, and pilot scalable approaches to close gaps along the care cascade. The foundation partners with governments, ministries of health, WHO offices, academic collaborators, and patient organizations to translate data-driven insights into policy and program change.

Notable achievements

WHO Collaborating Centre designation

Polaris Observatory is designated as a WHO Collaborating Centre for disease epidemiology analytics on viral hepatitis and liver diseases, strengthening CDAF’s formal role in technical support and global policy guidance.

Wide policy-level reach and program impact

CDAF’s analytics and advocacy have contributed to large-scale policy and service changes—its reported work correlates with access metrics reaching billions globally (screening, testing, or treatment access) and direct program results including tens of thousands contacted and thousands linked to care in implemented projects.

Operationalized grant programs and country-scale implementations

CDAF has launched and funded implementation grants (Relink, ALLIES, CAMEO) and country programs (e.g., Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Cameroon) that moved from modeling to on-the-ground testing and treatment scale-up.
