Luke's FastBreaks (aka Lukes Foundation)

Luke's FastBreaks is a donor-facing 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area that produces and distributes snap-closure medical port shirts and care packages for pediatric, adolescent, and young-adult patients undergoing long-term hospital treatment. The organization partners with child-life teams and hospitals nationwide to supply Medical Port Shirts, blankets, gripper socks and other supportive items meant to restore dignity and comfort during treatment. In recent years Luke's FastBreaks has scaled nationally: it reports having sent tens of thousands of medical port shirts to patients across the U.S., maintains an active schedule of fundraising events and hospital visits, and publishes its Form 990s and financial summaries on its website (most recent filing: 2023). The charity operates regular donor campaigns and community events to sustain production and shipping of care packages to hospitals and families in need.
