About Alpine Achievers Initiative
Alpine Achievers Initiative (AAI) is a Colorado-based nonprofit serving the San Luis and Arkansas Valleys; the organization began operations in 2012 and received 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status in 2016.
AAI focuses on placing AmeriCorps members in rural schools and community sites, running out-of-school-time academic and social programs, and delivering outdoor leadership and enrichment programs for youth.
In the last 2–3 years AAI has continued multi-site program delivery (including the Valley-to-Valley homeschool program and Alpine Adventurers), maintained a sizable AmeriCorps placement program, and operated with an organizational budget in the multi‑million dollar range.
