Wounded Warrior Ohana
To honor and support wounded veterans and their families by providing enriching experiences and essential needs.
About Wounded Warrior Ohana
Wounded Warrior Ohana is a Honolulu-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 81-2106180) that provides events, services and direct assistance to wounded and injured service members, veterans, and their families. The organization is all-volunteer and emphasizes community-based, donor-funded events and assistance rather than paid program staff.
Since its founding (operations recorded from 2014 and tax-exempt status granted in 2017), Wounded Warrior Ohana has run recurring community events (holiday galas, Easter celebrations, recreational outings and veteran appreciation gatherings) and developed small assistance programs such as the Makana program to help families with everyday needs. The EIN and annual Form 990 filings are publicly available and confirm the organization’s active donor-facing operations and recent financial activity through 2023–2024.
Wounded Warrior Ohana works through local partnerships and sponsors to deliver events and direct support, focusing on personal enrichment, family inclusion, and peer community-building rather than large-scale national services or clinical programs.
