About JustFix, Inc.

JustFix, Inc. (doing business as JustFix.nyc) is a Brooklyn-based 501(c)(3) civic-technology nonprofit that creates tenant-facing tools and an organizer dashboard to document housing conditions, streamline tenant–landlord communications, and connect renters with community and legal supports. EvictionFreeNY (pandemic-era tool)

Co-created an online eviction-prevention resource during the COVID-19 emergency that guided tenants through Hardship Declarations and related filings; the tool assisted approximately 20,000 New York State tenants in preventing eviction actions during the emergency period.

Tenant app and organizer dashboard

Designed and deployed a mobile app for tenants to collect evidence and a complementary dashboard for organizers and legal advocates to track building-level issues, enabling better documentation, coordination, and case-building for housing court and tenant advocacy.

Policy and partnership impact

Provided data, technical tools, and testimony in support of Good Cause eviction and other tenant-protection campaigns, and formed programmatic partnerships with community legal services, health-system housing programs, and tenant organizing networks to translate tech tools into advocacy and direct assistance.
