About Jesus On Colfax Ministries
Jesus On Colfax Ministries (JOC) is a faith-based nonprofit serving people along East Colfax in the Denver–Aurora area through presence-based outreach, drop-in Family Rooms, practical assistance, and relationship-centered care.
JOC began with regular Tuesday night motel outreach and has since developed two Family Room drop-in centers, an empowerment points system, wellbeing classes, and targeted programming to support women affected by sexual exploitation and trafficking.
Notable achievements
Expansion to two Family Rooms
Grew from street-based Tuesday outreach to operate two sustained drop-in Family Room sites that offer meals, classes, a points-based store, and regular programming.
Development of a points-empowerment model
Implemented an empowerment system where participants earn points for attending classes, volunteer actions, or wellbeing steps and redeem those points for essentials in the Family Room store.
Sustained growth and institutional funding
Over recent fiscal years JOC has increased organizational capacity and secured significant grants and community fundraising support to scale operations and program services.
