About MOONSHOT EDVENTURES

Moonshot edVentures is a Denver-based nonprofit that develops and supports community-rooted leaders who design new learning environments and systems to improve outcomes for youth. Its core programs include a multi-path Moonshot Innovation Space (a fellowship and incubation program), alumni services (coaching, mini-grants, and networks), and The Station, a community coworking hub for youth-serving organizations. In recent years Moonshot redesigned and relaunched its fellowship, launched The Station (a dedicated coworking and convening space in North Denver in late 2024), produced a 2024–25 impact report, and received major philanthropic investments to scale supports for alumni ventures. The organization reports measurable impact metrics—100+ fellows trained, high retention of fellows in education, and thousands of youth reached each year through alumni work.

Major unrestricted grant from Yield Giving / MacKenzie Scott

Awarded a $1,000,000 grant through the Yield Giving / Lever for Change Open Call (announced in 2024) to support organizational stability, scale alumni supports, and codify Moonshot’s redesigned Innovation Space.

Reached 100+ Moonshot Fellows and strong retention

Surpassed 100 trained fellows and reports that over 90% of fellows remain in education or youth-serving roles; a majority of fellows identify as people of color and women/trans/nonbinary, reflecting the organization’s emphasis on diversifying leadership.

Launched The Station coworking hub (late 2024)

Opened The Station in North Denver as an affordable, mission-driven coworking and convening space for BIPOC-led and youth-serving teams to collaborate, access resources, and sustain their work.
