WHEELCHAIRS FOR WARRIORS

Wheelchairs for Warriors is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides bespoke mobility systems — including all-terrain, adaptive sports, and complex-rehab wheelchairs — to veterans and first responders whose needs are unmet or delayed by conventional providers. The organization engineers each device around a recipient’s specific injuries, lifestyle and goals, with an emphasis on restoring independence and participation in everyday life and adaptive sport. In recent years Wheelchairs for Warriors has expanded its public profile through local and regional partnerships, media features, and grant-funded programs that support the design, manufacture and delivery of custom mobility solutions. The organization maintains an active recipient roster and waiting list and documents individual recipient stories to illustrate program impact.
