About CHILDRENS TRANSPLANT INITIATIVE
Children’s Transplant Initiative (CTI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Spring, Texas that supports pediatric solid-organ transplant patients and their families. CTI operates direct-service programs including financial assistance, peer mentor support (Hope Lifeline), donor awareness work, and a hospitality housing program called “R”Rooms for out-of-town families receiving care at major pediatric transplant centers. CTI’s "R"Rooms hospitality program provides temporary, fully furnished two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments (with kitchens and laundry) located to serve families using Texas Medical Center (Houston), Dell Children’s Medical Center (Austin), and Children’s Health (Dallas). Families enter the program through a hospital social worker referral and CTI aims to remove lodging and logistic barriers so caregivers can remain with their child during evaluation, surgery and recovery. The organization’s tax-exempt status and EIN (81-4625738) are confirmed in public Form 990 filings; CTI has shown significant revenue growth in recent years while maintaining program operations and partnerships with regional pediatric transplant centers. Leadership includes founders/active executives who are listed on public filings and CTI conducts recurring community fundraising events to support its programs.
