About TEENS UNDER CONSTRUCTION INC

Teens Under Construction, Inc. is a donor‑facing 501(c)(3) nonprofit that uses culturally grounded Hip‑Hop Therapy and related programming to support trauma‑impacted youth. Programs include group Hip‑Hop Therapy, staff training, the T.R.U.T.H. cultural curriculum, short intensive summer camps, assemblies/keynotes, and consultation packages for schools, youth residences, and other youth‑serving organizations.

Founded and led by social‑work professionals, the organization operates from West Harrison/White Plains, NY and partners with local community organizations, United Way Westchester & Putnam and other sponsors to deliver direct services and community events. In the last few years TUC has continued public programming (workshops and campus events), hosted community outreach events like the Spread Love Free Store, and provided staff training and technical assistance to institutional and government partners.

Teens Under Construction positions Hip‑Hop culture as a therapeutic modality to increase youth engagement, build coping skills, reduce stigma about mental health, and create creative opportunities (scholarships and performance projects) for young people in the region.
