SQUARE INCH HOUSTON INC

Square Inch Houston is a Houston-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on leadership formation, educational opportunity, and neighborhood renewal in the city’s historic Third Ward. The organization operates the SALT Scholars Program (Square Inch Scholarship for Academics, Leadership, and Transformation), a yearlong discipleship, leadership-formation, and community-engagement initiative for college students. In recent years the organization has actively run the SALT program, launched a capital campaign (Taste & See) in 2023 to build a dedicated SALT Scholars Residence, and filed and published IRS Form 990s through the most recent fiscal years, consistent with an active, operating public charity.

Square Inch Houston centers Christian discipleship and justice-driven leadership as tools for social and spiritual renewal, partnering with local mentors, community leaders, and universities (including Texas Southern University in early cohorts) to equip students to serve and invest in the Greater Third Ward. The organization presents itself publicly as donor-facing (donation pages and an active website), runs outreach and formation programming, and has made public fundraising and capital-planning efforts in the last 2–3 years.
