COLORADO VILLAGE COLLABORATIVE
Colorado Village Collaborative exists to bridge the gap between the streets and stable housing by creating and operating transformational shelter communities in partnership with people experiencing homelessness.
About COLORADO VILLAGE COLLABORATIVE
Colorado Village Collaborative (CVC) is a Denver-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that creates and operates low-barrier, transitional shelter communities (often called micro-communities or tiny-home villages) in partnership with people experiencing homelessness. The organization combines safe, dignified shelter with wraparound supportive services including case management, peer support, meals, hygiene facilities, and connections to healthcare and housing resources. In recent years CVC has expanded and adapted its programs in collaboration with local government partners: it operated multiple micro-community sites and partnered with City of Denver encampment response teams, and in 2024 began winding down emergency "safe outdoor space" sites developed during the COVID-19 response. A 2025 program evaluation with a Colorado health data partner found measurable improvements in participants' access to primary care and reductions in emergency department use after enrollment, demonstrating health-system impacts tied to CVC’s shelter-plus-services model.
