Advancing Women in Product (operating as Advancing Women in Tech, AWIT)

Advancing Women in Product (now operating as Advancing Women in Tech, AWIT) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in San Francisco that builds skills, mentorship, and pathways for women and underrepresented professionals to reach product and technical leadership roles. The organization runs skills-based workshops, online course specializations, mentorship programs, and corporate partnerships to prepare mid‑level and senior practitioners for executive positions. In the last 2–3 years AWIT has scaled its training through partnerships with platforms and industry sponsors (including Coursera and major tech partners), collaborated with the U.S. Department of State’s Academy for Women Entrepreneurs on international programming, and launched new course offerings and specializations to address AI and cloud skills needs. The organization reports having trained tens of thousands of learners globally and continues to operate an active donor-facing website and public filings.
