About COLORADO AIR NATIONAL GUARD LEGACY FOUNDATION

The Colorado Air National Guard Legacy Foundation (COANG Legacy) is a small, mission-focused nonprofit that promotes outreach, esprit de corps, recognition programs, and preservation of the Colorado Air National Guard’s history. It is governed and led by retired Colorado ANG senior leaders and former senior enlisted leaders.

The foundation concentrates on morale-boosting events, awards/recognition programs, historical research and archiving, and fundraising to support COANG airmen and their families. In recent years the organization has operated at a modest budget scale (reported revenue in the low tens of thousands of dollars in the most recent filings) and has prioritized direct, mission-aligned activities rather than large grants.

COANG Legacy serves as a bridge between the 140th Wing community and the public — preserving unit history, organizing commemorative activities, and running targeted outreach to support current members, veterans, and their families.
