About Sustainable Resilient Longmont
Founded in 2015, Sustainable Resilient Longmont (SRL) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 82-1521892) that began by organizing a community Earth Day celebration and has grown into a year-round local sustainability hub.
SRL runs public education, advocacy, and action programs focused on renewable energy, zero-waste practices, and community mobilization — working with residents and the City of Longmont to implement sustainability policies and on-the-ground projects.
Notable achievements
Supported Longmont 100% Renewable Energy Commitment
Played a leadership and advocacy role in the community movement that resulted in a city commitment to 100% renewable energy by 2030.
Zero Waste policy and program support
Helped advance local zero-waste efforts including outreach around curbside composting, a Zero Waste committee, and advocacy for stronger city zero-waste measures.
Growth of EV and electrification outreach
Established and expanded electric vehicle (EV) fairs and Electrify Longmont programming to demystify EVs and promote home electrification and decarbonization.
