SPLASH supports LGBTQIA+ youth and their families to enrich and affirm their identities by creating positive social experiences, advocating for their rights, and building communities of belonging so young people can thrive. SPLASH is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) (EIN 82-1537021).
About SPLASH Youth of Northern Colorado
SPLASH Youth of Northern Colorado provides regular age- and identity-based meet-ups, peer-led groups, family support, resource referrals, trainings, and special events for LGBTQIA+ young people across Larimer and Weld counties. Programming is designed to build protective factors against self-harm, substance misuse, and youth homelessness by increasing social connectedness, leadership skills, and access to services.
In recent years SPLASH has expanded from weekly youth groups into a community hub (Prism Palace), launched a youth-run zine (Queeriosity), developed targeted support groups for trans and neurodivergent youth, and opened an intentional transitional housing program for LGBTQ+ young adults at risk of homelessness.
Notable achievements
Opened Juniper’s Place transitional home
Launched an intentional, transitional housing program for queer and trans young adults (18–21) as a homelessness-prevention initiative.
Established Prism Palace community space
Secured and developed Prism Palace in Fort Collins as a dedicated, youth-designed community hub for meet-ups, programming, and public events.
Regional funding & community support
Received notable community grants and donations in recent years (including mid‑2020s local philanthropic support) that enabled program expansion and housing efforts.
