About LAULIMA DATA ALLIANCE
Laulima Data Alliance is a Hawaii-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit established as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Healthcare Association of Hawaii to provide a secure, centralized data analytics and reporting platform for hospitals, healthcare leaders, policymakers, researchers, and community partners. In recent years Laulima has expanded its program reporting and analytic services, contributing hospital inpatient and outpatient data to state planning efforts and national data projects, supporting state overdose surveillance and multiple hospital Community Health Needs Assessments, and reporting fiscal growth (FY2024 revenues totaling approximately $1.56M).
Notable achievements
Established statewide hospital data platform
Built and operates a secure data collection and reporting system that enables Hawaiʻi hospitals to submit, validate and access statewide, regional and hospital-level metrics to inform policy and operational decisions.
Contributed data to national and state initiatives
Provides inpatient discharge and related datasets to federal/state data programs and has supported the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) and state public-health surveillance and Community Health Needs Assessment efforts.

Demonstrated organizational growth with FY2024 reported revenues of roughly $1.56 million and expanded program-service activity supporting healthcare reporting and analytics across the state.
