About United to Learn

United to Learn is a Dallas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that partners with Dallas Independent School District elementary schools to close opportunity gaps and accelerate student achievement. The organization operates a district-aligned, research-driven model built around four pillars: school culture & well-being, learning environments, literacy achievement, and community activation. Over the last several years U2L has scaled across Dallas ISD, mobilizing volunteers, donors, and partners to support campus improvements, teacher training, literacy programming, and community engagement. As of the FY2026 footprint, the network includes more than 120 partner elementary schools and serves tens of thousands of students, with documented literacy and school-climate gains in recent years.

Expanded to a network of over 120 Dallas ISD partner elementary schools, serving roughly 62,500 students and supporting thousands of educators and staff across the district.

Literacy outcomes and STAAR growth

Partner schools demonstrated measurable literacy gains—reported cohort growth in third-grade reading performance (reported year-over-year growth of about 9.5% for the same student group) and overall improved reading outcomes across U2L campuses.

100th Book Bash milestone

Reached the 100th Book Bash in January 2026, a program that has placed nearly 60,000 free books into the hands of Dallas ISD elementary students since its launch, building at-home libraries and promoting a culture of reading.
