About RISEHI FOUNDATION

RiseHI Foundation is an active 501(c)(3) public charity based in Kailua, Hawaiʻi that develops culturally responsive education and career-exploration programs for middle and high school students. The organization produces video-based curricula and classroom resources designed to show local youth career and creative pathways that allow them to remain and succeed in Hawaiʻi.

Since formal tax-exempt recognition, RiseHI has expanded program delivery across multiple islands, launched new initiatives (Make It Happen and ʻOihana Career Explorations), run recurring fundraising events, and engaged public and private funders to scale mentorship and advisory curricula in Hawaiʻi schools.

Notable achievements

Successful fundraising events

Produced annual fundraising events — including a Hackathon/Golf benefit — that raised more than $35,000 in 2024 to support program development and island-wide implementation.

Secured multi-source support and public funding engagement

Attracted philanthropic backing from local foundations and donors (including Harold K.L. Castle Foundation, Six Tree Foundation, Hawaii Dental Services and others) and engaged with state grant-in-aid processes to obtain public support for expanding mentorship programs.
