About COMMON MARKET TEXAS INCORPORATED

Common Market Texas Incorporated is the Texas hub of The Common Market network, a nonprofit regional food distributor that sources produce and other farm products from sustainable family farms and supplies them to institutions and community partners across Texas. The organization operates wholesale distribution, the Farm-Fresh Box Program, and farm support initiatives designed to strengthen regional food systems and improve food access in underserved communities. Founded in 2017 (tax-exempt recognition April 2018), Common Market Texas has expanded infrastructure and programmatic partnerships in the last 2–3 years, including a multi-million dollar warehouse improvement project, on-the-ground Farm-Fresh Box distributions for community partners, and an interest-free farmer loan program supporting Texas growers recovering from climate and storm impacts.

Notable achievements

Broke ground on a multi-million-dollar warehouse improvement project in Texas to increase distribution capacity, resilience, and cold-chain handling for local farm products.

Farmer Loan & emergency support

Established and deployed no-interest purchase-order and farmer loans to Texas family farms affected by storms and market disruptions, enabling faster recovery and continued participation in institutional markets.
