About Dairy Discovery

Dairy Discovery began as a farm‑based education initiative led by Annie Link (Oesch) of Swisslane Farms and formally incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2018. It operates on Swisslane Farms in Alto, Michigan and focuses on creating personal connections between consumers and modern dairy production. The organization delivers guided farm field trips, hands‑on activity areas, and an annual Summer Cow Camp for children and youth, and maintains a farm store whose proceeds support programming. Dairy Discovery operates through sponsorships and partnerships with local agricultural organizations and industry supporters. In the last 2–3 years Dairy Discovery has continued to expand programming (including recurring Cow Camp sessions and school visits), initiated a calf barn renovation to support bottle‑feeding and calf interaction programming, and maintained program‑driven revenue that supports active, donor‑facing educational operations.
