STEAMHEAD

STEAMHEAD is a nonprofit education organization that grew out of maker-education work in Shenzhen, China and maintains a U.S. presence focused on integrating design, craft, and technology into K–12 learning. The organization runs a makerspace model, teacher-residencies and professional development, and student programs — most notably the MakeFashion Edu wearable-technology curriculum and student runway events.

STEAMHEAD operates as a donor-facing 501(c)(3) organization (EIN 82-4533355) and maintains an online presence and program resources. In the last 2–3 years the organization has continued to deliver MakeFashion Edu workshops and maker-education activities, provided teacher training and curriculum materials, and participated in maker-education events and online learning initiatives.

Programs emphasize project-based learning, student voice through design and storytelling, and building teacher capacity so classroom practice can adopt maker mindsets at scale. STEAMHEAD positions itself as both a local program operator and a resource hub for educators seeking curricula, open materials, and workshop models.
