About Warning Lights
Warning Lights is a Byron Center, Michigan–based nonprofit that educates, empowers, and engages people—particularly youth and young adults—to prevent human trafficking through awareness sessions, professional trainings, and community outreach. Founded as a community initiative and recognized as a 501(c)(3) public charity in 2018, Warning Lights operates school-based "Sessions of Awareness," offers professional training events, and works with local partners and the National Human Trafficking Hotline to support prevention and prompt response. In the last 2–3 years the organization expanded its programming with foundation support, increased trainings across West Michigan school districts and community groups, and received local media coverage during Human Trafficking Awareness Month.
