About Joint Forces Veterans Alliance
Joint Forces Veterans Alliance (JFVA) was founded by veterans to serve disabled and non-disabled U.S. veterans and their families. The organization focuses on improving quality of life through Alternative Therapy Support Programs (ATSPs) that combine physical activity, mental health benefits, and veteran community engagement.
JFVA operates veteran-run programs (notably Joint Forces Hockey) and provides a centralized set of resources and referrals ranging from peer engagement to information on substance abuse prevention, benefits, and crisis support. The organization holds federal 501(c)(3) status and maintains state registration in Colorado.
In the last few years JFVA has run competitive sports teams, pursued local corporate partnerships and fundraising, and held remembrance and community events to engage veterans and raise funds for programming.
