About HUMANMADE

Humanmade operates a roughly 13,000 sq. ft. innovation facility in San Francisco offering a woodshop, metal shop, digital fabrication, textiles, electronics, event space, and open workbench areas. The organization runs three core programs: a 12-week Next Generation Manufacturing Training (NGMT) workforce program, a no-equity hardware accelerator that provides membership and business support, and community memberships with equipment training and project workshops. Humanmade emphasizes measurable local economic impact through both workforce placements and support for hardware startups: the organization reports having supported more than a thousand businesses, launched scores of new hardware companies, and helped accelerator companies raise capital. In recent years multiple NGMT graduates have been hired into staff and instructional roles at Humanmade, demonstrating direct employment outcomes from its training programs. Humanmade is a registered 501(c)(3) (IRS ruling year 2019) with public Form 990 filings; it positions itself as a bridge between job-seekers, employers, and hardware entrepreneurs by combining technical training, equipment access, employer partnerships, and mentorship.
