About BREAKTHROUGH ALLIANCE OF COLORADO

Breakthrough Alliance of Colorado (also known as Breakthrough or formerly operating with ties to Defy Ventures Colorado) is a Colorado 501(c)(3) that runs in‑facility career education cohorts and community reentry supports to help people with criminal histories build stable, productive lives after incarceration.

The organization operates a multi‑stage program model (commonly described as The Challenge, The Transformation, The Return, and The Exemplar) that combines personal development, entrepreneurship and career readiness, post‑release case management, and employer engagement.

Since formal tax‑exempt recognition in 2019 the organization has expanded partnerships with community employers and workforce stakeholders and has pursued mission growth through grants and program scaling in recent years.
