GLIDE COMMUNITY CHURCH (Glide Memorial Church)

GLIDE Community Church (often referred to as Glide Memorial Church) is an active, donor-facing 501(c)(3) congregation and social‑service organization based in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood that combines congregational life with large-scale community programs. The church partners closely with the GLIDE Foundation and runs integrated services—meals, harm reduction, case management, housing navigation, family and youth programs, and community outreach—focused on people experiencing poverty, housing instability, and marginalization. In the last 2–3 years GLIDE has emphasized mobile, street-level outreach (notably the Cecil Williams Community Ambassador Program launched in 2024), expanded harm-reduction and linkage services, and continued large-scale direct services (including its daily free meals program and hygiene/essential item distribution). The organization maintains an active web presence, publishes annual/impact reports and Form 990 disclosures, and remains a prominent community partner in San Francisco.
