About BARBARACARES

BarbaraCares is a Fort Worth, Texas–based 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 83-3204570) that provides social support services to breast cancer patients and caregivers and expands access to free mammography screening across Texas. The organization runs education and outreach programs, health fairs, and direct-support grants (including the Hug of Hope Award and Good Samaritan Grant) to help patients meet basic needs during treatment and to reduce barriers to timely screening and diagnosis. Since its founding (2018), BarbaraCares has operated recurring community events — including an annual March for Mammograms 5K — and has secured capacity and program grants to expand outreach and screening access in underserved communities.
