About SUDANESE AMERICAN PHYSICIANS ASSOCIATION

The Sudanese American Physicians Association (SAPA) is a membership-based 501(c)(3) organization for physicians and medical professionals of Sudanese descent based in Plano, Texas. The organization supports professional development for its members and organizes medical missions, capacity-building programs, and humanitarian health services in Sudan and in Sudanese communities abroad. In the last two to three years SAPA has increased humanitarian activity related to the conflict in Sudan, including establishing a health center and launching a dedicated facility (SAPA Hospital) in Medani to provide free medical care for internally displaced persons, and coordinating medical mission partnerships to deliver surgical and pediatric care.
