About Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary
Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary (PSDS) is a veterinarian‑supervised 501(c)(3) nonprofit sanctuary on a 50‑acre ranch near Roxborough Park in Littleton, Colorado, created to provide lifelong care and hospice for senior dogs that shelters are unable to place.
Founded in 2019 and opening its facility in 2023, PSDS accepts senior and medically‑compromised dogs from partner shelters and rescues, offering medical rehabilitation, hospice care, enrichment, and permanent residence rather than adoption when adoption is not a viable option.
In addition to animal care, PSDS operates community enrichment programs that pair its sanctuary dogs with underserved human populations for social‑emotional support, workforce readiness, and therapeutic interaction.
