1 LOVE
To empower Maasai communities in Tanzania by expanding access to education, improving basic infrastructure (clean water, electricity), and supporting women’s economic opportunity while preserving Maasai culture.
About 1 LOVE
1 LOVE is a U.S.-based nonprofit (EIN 83-4183284) founded in 2018 by Angel Mollel to support Maasai villages in Tanzania through education, infrastructure projects, and women’s empowerment. The organization’s work centers on practical, community-driven projects — school construction, water access, electrification, and small enterprise support — intended to create pathways out of poverty while respecting local traditions.
Over the past several years 1 LOVE has focused fundraising and fieldwork on a multi-classroom school build in Ormelili and on delivering tangible infrastructure (boreholes, power lines/solar, village shops) and direct support (school sponsorships, donated laptops, cooking solutions). Founder-led summer project trips and local partnerships guide project selection and implementation.
Notable achievements
Ormelili school campaign
Launched a capital and implementation campaign to build a multi-classroom school in Ormelili to expand local access to formal education.
Clean water installations
Delivered borehole/clean-water projects to reduce long water-collection distances and improve health outcomes in supported villages.
Electrification & village infrastructure
Completed village-level electrification and related projects (solar installations, a village shop, propane cookstoves) to improve safety, learning time, and local commerce.
