INTERNATIONAL NEUROPALLIATIVE CARE SOCIETY
To foster the growth of neuropalliative care worldwide by building an interdisciplinary, person-centered community that advances education, research, clinical practice, and advocacy for people affected by serious neurological illness.
About INTERNATIONAL NEUROPALLIATIVE CARE SOCIETY
INPCS is an international professional society focused exclusively on promoting neuropalliative care — integrating palliative approaches across neurologic illness to improve quality of life for patients and families while supporting clinicians and researchers.
The society builds community through membership, annual meetings, courses and webinars, freely available curricular materials (including EPEC-N modules), research initiatives, and advocacy; it has grown from virtual beginnings to regular in‑person annual meetings and targeted certificate courses.
Notable achievements
EPEC‑N curriculum development and dissemination
Produced and made available a neuropalliative adaptation of the EPEC (Education in Palliative and End‑of‑Life Care) curriculum to train clinicians and enable train‑the‑trainer dissemination in multiple regions.
Rapid growth of membership and global reach
Expanded organizational membership and engagement since formation, moving from virtual programming to hybrid and in‑person annual meetings and targeted regional certificate courses.
Established research and mentorship programming
Launched ongoing Research in Neuropalliative Care webinar series and NeuroCARES research event to foster collaboration, mentoring, and multisite research feasibility work in the field.
