About HAWAII GOOD FOOD ALLIANCE
Hawaiʻi Good Food Alliance (HGFA) is a statewide, donor-facing 501(c)(3) nonprofit that coordinates networks of farmers, food hubs, health providers, and community groups to increase access to nutritious, locally produced food and strengthen Hawaiʻi’s food system. HGFA develops and runs programs that connect food systems and health care (Food is Medicine), provide grant funding and technical assistance for food businesses and community distribution (Growing Hawaiʻi Together / Hawaiʻi Good Food Fund), and support farmers markets, produce prescriptions, and culturally grounded food programs across the islands. The organization emphasizes cultural grounding, food sovereignty, and equity while working with health systems, funders, and community partners to scale place-based interventions and supply chains that benefit producers and low-income communities statewide.
