About Devereux Cleo Wallace

Devereux Cleo Wallace (EIN 84-0406820) is the Westminster/Broomfield, Colorado campus historically known as the Cleo Wallace Center and operating under the Devereux organization. It delivers a continuum of care that has included residential treatment, an on-campus educational program (Cleo Wallace Academy), outpatient and intensive community-based services, and vocational supports for youth and young adults.

The program specializes in serving children and adolescents with severe emotional, behavioral and psychiatric needs and works with families and referring agencies to stabilize behaviors, teach coping and life skills, and support transitions to lower‑intensity settings.

In recent years the campus has continued clinical and school operations while navigating sector-wide funding and staffing pressures affecting residential treatment providers; it has also participated in federally contracted shelter/licensed residential efforts when requested to do so.

Notable achievements

Longstanding regional presence

Originating from the Cleo Wallace Center (mid-20th century), the campus has operated for many decades as a leading provider of pediatric behavioral health and special education in the Rocky Mountain region.

Integration with Devereux network

Affiliation with the national Devereux organization expanded access to evidence-informed practices, workforce development resources and broader programmatic capacity.

Licensed for specialized federal placement work

The Westminster campus has been licensed to provide federally contracted residential placements (including Office of Refugee Resettlement shelter capacity when engaged) as part of broader emergency response efforts.
