About COLORADO MOUNTAIN CLUB

The Colorado Mountain Club (CMC) is a nonprofit outdoor education, recreation, and conservation organization based in Golden, Colorado. Founded in 1912, CMC operates as a volunteer-powered club that teaches mountain skills, leads trips, and organizes stewardship work across Colorado and the Mountain West. CMC runs an extensive catalog of courses, schools, and trips for all ability levels, and maintains active youth programming, scholarships, volunteer trail crews, and conservation partnerships.
