About Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, Inc.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver is a large, community-based youth development organization serving kids and teens across the Denver metro area through after-school and summer programming that emphasizes academics, social-emotional learning, healthy lifestyles, and leadership.
In the last 2–3 years the organization significantly expanded its footprint, opened multiple new Clubs, scaled mental-health and literacy initiatives, and reported reaching tens of thousands of youth annually through direct programming and community events.
The Clubs operate year-round (after-school and summer), partner with local school districts, and focus on providing affordable, accessible supports for children from kindergarten through high school to improve school success, wellbeing, and life skills.
Notable achievements
National Honor Award — Trauma-Informed Practice
Recognized nationally for its Mental Health Team and trauma-informed programming that advances youth wellbeing and increases access to mental-health supports.
Major club expansion (2023–FY24)
Opened multiple new Club locations over consecutive years, growing the network (including seven new Clubs for 2023–24 and additional openings in FY24) and substantially increasing the number of kids served.
State Youth of the Year
A Metro Denver Club member was named Colorado Youth of the Year, reflecting strong youth leadership development and community impact.
