About Colorado Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc.

Colorado Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. (CFGC) is a statewide nonprofit and member of National Garden Clubs, Inc., organized as a 501(c)(3) to promote gardening, floral design, civic beautification and environmental stewardship across Colorado.

CFGC coordinates and supports local garden clubs, maintains an education venue (Emerson House) and provides workshops, grants and resources that enable community gardens, memorial plantings, and volunteer conservation projects.

In the last two to three years (2023–2025) CFGC has emphasized pollinator and native-plant initiatives, expanded community garden partnerships that support food access and healing gardens, and continued its annual scholarship program for students in horticulture- and environment-related fields.

Notable achievements

Manitou Springs Pollinator Partnership

Collaborated with local clubs and partners to support the certified municipal pollinator district model and statewide promotion of pollinator-friendly practices.

Emerson House Stewardship

Maintains Emerson House as an affordable statewide venue for horticultural instruction, meetings and public programming that serve hundreds of participants annually.

Annual Scholarship Program

Offers an annual state scholarship (state-level award of $4,000 with eligibility for additional national awards) to students pursuing horticulture and environmental fields.
